terrell owens and chad ochocinco bengalsBETUS just released some of the most comical football betting odds I have seen in a while. NFL bettors can now attempt to predict the good, bad, and ugly outcomes expected as a result of Chad Ochocinco and Terrell Owens becoming teammates in Cincinnati.

The Good

More Touchdowns in Regular Season

Chad Ochocinco -130

Terrell Owens -110

Chad Ochocinco is still Carson Palmer’s favorite target in Cincinnati.

The newly acquired Antonio Bryant, will steal deep targets from both Ochocinco and Terrell Owens but quarterback trust is more important than any other factor in this case.

Play: Go with Ochocinco (-130) to have more touchdowns than T.O. this NFL betting season because he’s still the go-to-guy inside the red zone for Palmer.

More Receptions in Regular Season

Chad Ochocinco -135

Terrell Owens -105

Again, Ochocinco holds the advantage over T.O. as he can still easily post a 70+ reception total in a season.

He still possesses excellent route running ability and a gifted pair of hands.

Aside from 2008, Ochocinco has had 6 straight seasons of at least 72 receptions.

Terrell Owens, meanwhile, has seen a steady decline in his reception totals since his first year in Dallas in 2006.

He fell from 85 receptions in 2006 to 55 last year with the Bills.

Play: Take Ochocinco (-135) to easily eclipse Owens in receptions this season. T.O. looks like he will be more of a specialty package receiver rather than the every-down playmaker he once was.

The Bad

Who Will Be Benched First

Chad Ochocinco +140

Terrell Owens -180

If anyone is going to be benched between Ochocinco and T.O. it’s definitely Owens.

Ochocinco is actually well liked in the Bengals locker room and is a more important piece to Cincinnati’s overall success than T.O.

Play: Terrell Owens (-180) to be benched before Chad Ochocinco (probably for calling out Carson Palmer toughness or favoritism towards other receivers).

Who Will Get More Penalties Called Against

Chad Ochocincco -105

Terrell Owens -135

Owens would be another solid bet to have more penalties called against him this NFL betting season, simply because he no longer possesses the breakaway speed that made up for his mediocre route running ability and set of pancake hands.

Although T.O. is still probably much stronger than any defensive back in the league, it may be a disadvantage when it comes to accumulating offensive pass interference or holding penalties when facing quicker and faster defensive backs.

Play: Terrell Owens (-135) to have more penalties called against him than Ochocinco.

The Ugly

Who Will Be Traded First

Chad Ochocinco +200

Terrell Owens -300

No chance in hell that Chad Ochocinco would ever get traded from Cincy.

He is the face of the franchise and has generated more media attention and ticket sales for the Bengals than any other Cincinnati player in the past decade.

Play: Terrell Owens (-300) to be traded first.

Who will Be Arrested First

Chad Ochocinco +150

Terrell Owens -200

Both of these guys have done pretty well to stay out of legal trouble when you consider the number of run-ins they have had with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell.

I don’t think either player will get arrested but, if I had to pick, I would choose Owens to knockout a Patriots fan week one of the 2010-11 NFL betting season in New England.

Play: Terrell Owens (-200) to be arrested first.

Who Will Get More Fines

Chad Ochocinco -110

Terrell Owens -130

I think Ochocinco is definitely the more creative of the two, and in the NFL (No Fun League) end zone creativity results in bigger fines.

Last season alone, Ochocinco was fined $50,000 for end zone celebrations. In comparison, Terrell Owens has only managed to accumulate half that amount ever in a season.

His biggest fine was a $24,000 slap on the wrist for his infamous touchdown celebrations against Dallas in 2000.

Play: Take Chad Ochocinco (-110) to have more fines than T.O. this 2010-11 NFL betting season.

rashad evansUFC 114 Wagering Lines at SBG Global
Saturday, May 29th
Las Vegas, Nevada

Unlike some past UFC events, UFC 114 wagering on Saturday night from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas features a really good card. It is highlighted by a light heavyweight battle between Rashad Evans and Quinton “Rampage” Jackson. This is one occasion in the UFC where the fighters truly don’t like one another. Sometimes fighters put on a show for the media but these two simply can’t stand one another and that should make for a great headline bout on Saturday night. The UFC wagering lines on this fight at SBG Global are a close as you can get at a pick.

Jackson has the star power and the talent but he doesn’t always show up with a full effort. He put off his MMA lines career for a few months to play B.A. Baracus in the A-Team movie that comes out next month. The question in this fight is whether Jackson is in shape and motivated to win. That is not an issue with Evans. He always gives a premier effort even though he doesn’t have the talent of Jackson. This fight is all about Jackson’s power vs. the speed and intelligence of Evans. If Evans can avoid trading punches with Jackson he can win. If he makes a mistake and gets caught then he loses. This fight is really that simple.

While Evans vs. Jackson is really shaping up to be a great fight, it is not the only one on the UFC 114 card. There are a total of 11 bouts in UFC 114 and all of the odds are available at SBG Global Sportsbook. Also on the main card it is Antonio Rogerio Nogueira facing Jason Brilz. Nogueira is a heavy favorite to dispatch of Brilz easily. Michael Bisping is about a 2-1 favorite over Dan Miller while Todd Duffee is a big favorite against Mike Russow. Also on the main card it is Diego Sanchez a 2-1 favorite against undefeated John Hathaway.

The undercard begins with two fights on Spike TV. It is Amir Sadollah a slight favorite against Dong Hyun Kim and Efrain Escudero a big favorite against Dan Lauzon. Also on the undercard it is Jesse Forbes vs. Ryan Jensen, Luiz Cane vs. Cyrille Diabate, Aaron Riley vs. Joe Brammer and Melvin Guillard vs. Waylon Lowe.

super saver 2010 preakness stakes contenderSuper Saver Still On Top

The Preakness Stakes wagering lines is set to run this Saturday at Pimlico in Baltimore, Maryland and again, talk will begin about a Triple Crown winner, a feat not achieved since Affirmed turned the trick back in 1978.

Super Saver took the Kentucky Derby a few weeks ago, so the question is, will the colt end a 30-something year drought in 2010?

Super Saver was somewhat under the radar at the Run For The Roses but is now tagged by the online sportsbooks as the odds-on favorite at of anywhere between +250 to +225.

Besides being the Kentucky Derby winner, there is another reason why Super Saver is favored to win on Saturday — he will be guided by jockey Calvin Borel, who also led Super Saver to victory at Churchill Downs.

Borel himself missed the Triple Crown last year after taking both the Kentucky Derby and the Preakness Stakes but fell short of the distinction when he and Mine That Bird finished third at the Belmont Stakes.

But he is a proven winner and that could bode well for Super Saver and he going into Saturday — the colt drew Post 8 for the Preakness.

Borel seems confident in Super Saver as well.

“He has the talent to do it,” Borel told the AP when asked about whether Super Saver could do what Affirmed did in 1978.

“It’s hard to say you’re going to win it, but he’s peaking at the right time.”

But while all eyes are seemingly on Borel and Super Saver leading up to the Preakness, might colt Lookin At Lucky take the win?

Lookin At Lucky was the odds-on to take the Kentucky Derby at Churchill Downs a few weeks ago and going into this weekend’s race, is second only to Super Saver — Lookin At Lucky is currently listed at +250 for Saturday’s race at Pimlico. SPORTSBETTING.com is reporting steady action coming in on the impressive colt, and we might even see him go off on Saturday as the favorite if the action keeps coming in this way.

Lookin At Lucky drew Post 7 for Saturday’s race, meaning he will run right beside Super Saver.

Here are the complete odds for the 2010 running of the Preakness Stakes:

Post 1: Aikenite +1800
Post 2: Schoolyard Dreams +1200
Post 3: Pleasant Prince +1600
