joe flacco ravens qbNFL wagering cappers know that the Baltimore Ravens made a big splash by acquiring receivers Anquan Boldin and Dante Stallworth in the offseason. It’s fairly clear that if the Ravens offense lacked weapons before, there is no shortage now. With Ray Rice running and Joe Flacco orchestrating the show, scoring points shouldn’t be a problem in Baltimore anymore.

Team On The Decline:
Cincinnati Bengals Wagering

Sportsbook odds makers were shocked last year when the Cincinnati Bengals swept their three division rivals, and then won the division. This year, they’ll have a much tougher time in doing so. While the Bengals roster has improved, so has their strength of schedule. Not only will they have to face Baltimore, Pittsburgh, they’ll have to play at New England, versus Miami, at Atlanta, at Indianapolis, at the New York Jets, versus New Orleans and versus San Diego. That’s one heck of a schedule.

Predicted Winner: Pittsburgh Steelers Wagering

Some betting sharps won’t appreciate this pick, but we’re sticking with old ye faithful: the Pittsburgh Steelers. When Troy Polamalu is healthy and Ben Roethlisberger is in the lineup, they are the team to beat.

When Polamalu is healthy, the Steelers defense is the best in the division. Sure, the Bengals are up there and Baltimore’s is too – but they’ll have to plug some leaks at cornerback – but nobody’s defense is coached better and has more experience in the North.

NFL wagering pundits know that Baltimore may have the most explosive unit now, but Pittsburgh can definitely do enough. With Hines Ward, Antwan Randle El, Mike Wallace and Heath Miller, they have plenty of weapons. Plus, running back Rashard Mendenhall keeps getting better.

NFL Picks: It won’t be pretty, but the Steelers are a good value pick to win the AFC North.

The hottest team in the NFL wagering entering the playoffs is the San Diego Chargers. They have won 11 straight games and will look to make it 12 in a row as they host the New York Jets on Sunday afternoon at 4:40pm ET which can be seen live on CBS. The Chargers have a potent offense led by quarterback Philip Rivers but they will be facing a New York defense that was the best in the NFL wagering. San Diego is a 7-point sports wagering lines favorite with a total of 42 at SBG Global Sportsbook.

The Chargers have been in this situation before only to lose. They won 10 straight in 2006 but then lost to New England in their playoff opener. They did the same thing in 2007 as they won eight straight before losing to New England in the AFC title game. Last year they were hot entering the playoffs having won four straight and they did upset Indianapolis before losing to Pittsburgh.

San Diego faces a tough test on Sunday against a New York team that plays tough defense, avoids mistakes and runs the ball. That has been a great way to win games throughout history in the NFL wagering playoffs. "I think they’re the best defense we’re going to play," running back LaDainian Tomlinson said. "They do a lot of things well. But they’ve got the winning formula. They run the ball well and they play good defense. You look at teams throughout history that have done well, those are the teams that had that winning formula."

The Chargers rely upon the passing of Philip Rivers to win games. He threw for 4,254 yards and 28 TDs this season. He will be facing a New York secondary led by Darrelle Revis who is considered the best cornerback in the league. On the other side of the ball the Jets expect to run the ball with Thomas Jones and Shonn Greene. The Chargers have not been good against the run, allowing 117.8 yards per game this NFL wagering lines season.

The Jets are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 road games. The Jets are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games in January. The Jets are 7-2 ATS in their last 9 games as an underdog. The Jets are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 meetings against the Chargers. The Chargers are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 playoff games. The Chargers are 6-2-1 ATS in their last 9 games overall. The Over is 6-1-1 in the Jets last 8 vs. the AFC. The Over is 5-2-2 in the Jets last 9 games as a road underdog. The Over is 4-0 in the Chargers last 4 home games. The Under is 5-2 in the Chargers last 7 playoff games. The Over is 4-1 in the last 5 meetings between the two teams.

chargers hot cheerleader rackOdds makers at Sportsbook.com have taken notice of San Diego’s current 11-game win streak, as they made the Chargers a -9 point sports wagering lines favorite over the New York Jets in their AFC Divisional Playoff game on Sunday. Bettors seem to think that this line was too high, as a decent amount of early action on this matchup has been on the underdog, causing Sportsbook.com to move the line to the current number of San Diego -7.5 faves over New York

The next biggest favorite for this weekend’s Divisional Playoff wagering games are the NFC #1 seed New Orleans Saints, who are seven point wagering lines favorites against the Arizona Cardinals. According to Sportsbook.com spokesperson Dave Staley, “Despite using one of the highest playoff totals in recent memory and even though both teams have gone under the posted total in 5 of their past 6 games, the betting public keeps hammering the total in this game. In fact, almost 90 percent of the action on the total is backing the Over, causing our lines makers to move the total from 56.5 to 57 less than 20 minutes after we offered this matchup.”

The AFC #1 seed Indianapolis Colts are -6.5 point wagering lines favorites against the suddenly surging Baltimore Ravens , who made Tom Brady look like Marsha Brady, causing him to throw three interceptions and lose one fumble. The Colts and Ravens did face each other in Baltimore in late November; with the Colts winning a hard fought 17-15 game. The Ravens did move the ball well, racking up 354 yards of total offense, but had to settle for 5 field goals. “Peyton Manning has to be foaming at the mouth to get back into action in a meaningful game, and to show everyone why the Colts are considered the favorites to win the Super Bowl” added Staley.

The game with the smallest spread is considered by many to be the most intriguing game for the Divisional Playoffs. The Minnesota Vikings are -2.5 point sports wagering lines favorites against the hottest team left in the NFC, the Dallas Cowboys. All the Cowboys have done over the past month is knock the Saints from the ranks of the undefeated, and then pitch back-to-back shutouts against the Redskins and Eagles, before dismantling Philadelphia again in the postseason. Standing in the Cowboys way to the NFC Championship game, is Brett Favre who had one of his finest seasons ever throwing for over 4200 yards and tossing 33 TD passes, compared to just 7 interceptions.

Sportsbook.com is the place to be during the NFL playoffs, offering a slew of Super Bowl Prop Bets and Football Wagering Futures for every single game. Have fun and good luck with all the Divisional Playoff Wagering action this weekend!
