CONCACAF Gold CupWorld Cup qualifying continues on Friday with Group A play in the Soccer Wagering CONCACAF Gold Cup. All four teams will be in action on Friday as Jamaica faces Canada and El Salvador takes on Costa Rica. Jamaica is a -135 favorite against Canada with a total of 2.5 under while Costa Rica is a -250 favorite on the three-way line against El Salvador with a total of 2.5 over at SBG Global Sportsbook.

Jamaica is the dangerous team in this group. They have not lost since last September which means a 13 match unbeaten streak. They have allowed only five goals in their last eight matches. They can also score which makes them a threat in this group. Canada played well in their last two matches against Cyrpus and Guatemala as Ali Gerba scored two goals. Neither of those games meant anything though so Canada still has to prove they are a contender. “A friendly is a friendly and we have no illusions about that. It’s much different when points are on the line,” interim head coach Stephen Hart said. “Training has gone well. I wish I had one more international friendly leading into (the tournament). But that’s not going to happen.”

Costa Rica is playing the best of any team in this group and is the favorite to advance. They had good wins over the United States and Trinidad & Tobago and they look to be in good shape to advance to the World Cup. “Costa Rica is arguably the best team right now in CONCACAF, just on their performances lately,” Hart said. El Salvador is the mystery team in this group. They lost to Costa Rica back in April but beat Ecuador in a friendly and they tied Jamaica. They beat Mexico 2-1 but lost to Honduras 1-0. Anything is possible with this El Salvador team. Opening up against Costa Rica is no bargain though.

FA Cup Wagering

The quarterfinal action in the Soccer Wagering FA Cup gets underway on Saturday, March 7th as Fulham hosts Manchester United and Chelsea visits Coventry City. United is trying to do something that has never been done, win five trophies in a season. They have already won the Club World Cup and the League Cup. They have a solid lead in the Premier League and have a great chance in the Champions League. Get your FA Cup wagering lines now!

The FA Cup is the competition that worries Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson the most. "It would be great to think we could do it," said Ferguson, "but my experience says we could go to Fulham, get a deflected shot off someone’s backside and we’re out."

Fulham has been playing well of late, despite a 1-0 loss to Hull on Wednesday. "The team will now need lifting for United," Fulham manager Roy Hodgson said. "There’s no worse way to lose a game than to play well, stare at a 0-0 draw when you think we should have scored and then to lose in the 92nd minute." United should have an interesting lineup on Saturday since they will probably rest some players for next week’s critical soccer wagering Champions League match against Inter Milan. United also has a key game in the Premier League next weekend with third place Liverpool.

Chelsea is definitely focused on their match Saturday with Coventry and they might get some players back from injury. Manager Guus Hiddink hopes that midfielder Michael Essien, defender Ricardo Carvalho and striker Nicolas Anelka are able to play.

Sunday’s quarterfinal match in the FA Cup has Everton hosting Middlesbrough, while Arsenal hosts Burnley in a rescheduled fifth-round match. The winner of Arsenal-Burnley will move into the quarterfinals and face Hull City. Arsenal is expected to get Theo Walcott and Eduardo da Silva back on Sunday and they are favored to dispatch of Burnley. "I will see how they look tomorrow and Saturday but they will certainly be in the squad, especially Theo," Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger said. "We have to wait and see how Eduardo reacts and responds to his injury."

Everton is favored in their match against Middlesbrough even though forward Victor Anichebe is out with an injury.
